1. Overview

This specification defines the requirements for the monitoring system of automatic escalators. The monitoring system shall provide real-time monitoring and diagnostics of the escalator's operation and performance. The system shall be capable of detecting and reporting faults and anomalies, and shall provide remote access for maintenance and troubleshooting.

2. System Requirements

The monitoring system shall consist of the following components:

Sensors to monitor the escalator's operation and performance
Data acquisition and processing unit to collect and analyze data from the sensors
Communication module to transmit data to the remote monitoring center
Remote monitoring center to display and analyze data, and generate alerts

3. Sensor Requirements
Vibration sensors to monitor the vibration levels of the escalator
Temperature sensors to monitor the temperature of the escalator's components
Current sensors to monitor the current consumption of the escalator's motors
Position sensors to monitor the position of the escalator's steps
Speed sensors to monitor the speed of the escalator's steps

4. Data Acquisition and Processing Unit

The data acquisition and processing unit shall be responsible for collecting data from the sensors, processing the data, and transmitting the data to the remote monitoring center. The data acquisition and processing unit shall be capable of:

Collecting data from multiple sensors
Processing the data to extract meaningful information
Storing the data for historical analysis
Communicating the data to the remote monitoring center

5. Communication Module

The communication module shall be responsible for transmitting data from the data acquisition and processing unit to the remote monitoring center. The communication module shall be capable of:

Connecting to the remote monitoring center over a secure network
Sending data to the remote monitoring center in real time
Receiving commands from the remote monitoring center

6. Remote Monitoring Center

The remote monitoring center shall be responsible for displaying and analyzing data, and generating alerts. The remote monitoring center shall be capable of:

Displaying real-time data from the escalator
Analyzing data to identify faults and anomalies
Generating alerts to notify maintenance personnel of faults and anomalies
Providing remote access to maintenance personnel for troubleshooting
