Hikvision NVR Startup Guide134
Hikvision Network Video Recorders (NVRs) are powerful devices that enable you to manage and store video footage from your surveillance cameras. To get started, you need to power on the NVR and configure it. This guide will provide you with step-by-step instructions on how to do just that.
Connecting the Power Supply
Connect the end of the power cord to the power inlet on the back of the NVR. The other end of the power cord should be connected to a power outlet.
Connecting the Monitor
Connect one end of the HDMI cable or VGA cable (whichever is available) to the video output port on the back of the NVR. The other end of the cable should be connected to the video input port on your monitor.
Connecting the Network
Connect one end of an Ethernet cable to the Ethernet port on the back of the NVR. The other end of the cable should be connected to a PoE switch or router.
Powering on the NVR
Press the power button on the front of the NVR. The NVR will start to boot up. This process may take a few minutes.
Accessing the NVR Web Interface
Once the NVR has booted up, you can access the web interface using a web browser. To do this, open a web browser and type the IP address of the NVR into the address bar. The default IP address for Hikvision NVRs is 192.168.1.108.
Logging in to the NVR
When prompted, enter the username and password for the NVR. The default username is "admin" and the default password is "12345".
Configuring the NVR
Once you are logged in to the NVR, you can begin configuring it. The following are some of the most important settings that you need to configure:
Network Settings: Configure the NVR's IP address, subnet mask, gateway, and DNS servers.
Recording Settings: Configure the NVR's recording schedule, resolution, and frame rate.
Camera Settings: Add and configure the IP cameras that you want to record video from.
User Management: Create and manage user accounts for accessing the NVR.
Saving Your Configuration
Once you have finished configuring the NVR, click the "Save" button to save your changes.
Accessing Your Recordings
To access your recordings, click on the "Playback" tab in the NVR web interface. You can then select the camera and time period that you want to view.
