EufyCam Security System: Step-by-Step Setup Guide93

Step 1: Unpack and Assemble the Equipment

Open the package and remove all the components: camera, base station, charger, mounting bracket, and screws. Attach the mounting bracket to the camera and insert the camera into the base.

Step 2: Connect the Base Station

Plug the base station into an electrical outlet and connect it to your router using an Ethernet cable. The LED on the base station should turn blue to indicate a successful connection.

Step 3: Charge the Camera

Insert the camera into the charging station and connect it to a power source. The LED on the camera should turn red to indicate charging. Once the camera is fully charged, the LED will turn green.

Step 4: Download the EufyCam App

Search for "EufyCam" in the App Store or Google Play and download the app on your smartphone. Create an account and log in.

Step 5: Add the Camera to the App

Tap the "+" icon in the EufyCam app and select "Add Device." Scan the QR code on the bottom of the camera or on the base station. The camera will be added to your account.

Step 6: Position the Camera

Determine the optimal location for the camera based on your security needs. Use the mounting bracket to attach the camera to a wall, ceiling, or other surface. Ensure it has a clear view of the area you want to monitor.

Step 7: Configure the Settings

Open the EufyCam app and select the camera you want to configure. Adjust settings such as motion detection sensitivity, recording duration, and notifications. You can also set up activity zones to focus the camera on specific areas.

Step 8: View Live Footage

Tap the "Live View" button in the EufyCam app to access a real-time stream of the camera's footage. You can use the built-in microphone and speaker to communicate with individuals in the live view.

Step 9: Playback Recorded Clips

The EufyCam app stores recorded clips on the base station's local storage. Tap the "Playback" button in the app to access and review the recordings. You can filter clips by date, time, or event type.

Step 10: Share Camera Access

If you want others to have access to the camera's footage, you can share it through the EufyCam app. Tap the "Settings" icon for the camera and select "Shared Users." Add their email addresses to grant them access.

Additional Tips:

Place the camera at a suitable height to avoid glare and obstructions.
Keep the camera's lens clean to ensure optimal image quality.
Adjust the motion detection sensitivity to minimize false alarms.
Store the base station in a secure location to prevent unauthorized access.
Regularly update the EufyCam app and firmware for the latest features and security patches.
