Monitoring Video Setup FTP352
If you need to configure your surveillance camera to upload videos to an FTP server, you can follow these steps. Make sure that you have configured your FTP server before you start.
Step 1: Obtain the IP Address of Your Camera
Open your web browser and enter the camera's IP address. You can find the IP address by checking the camera's label or using a network scanner.
Step 2: Log in to the Camera's Web Interface
Enter the camera's username and password. If you don't know the username and password, you can use the default credentials, which are usually "admin" and "password".
Step 3: Navigate to the Camera's FTP Settings
Once you are logged in to the camera's web interface, navigate to the "Network" or "FTP" settings section. This section may vary depending on the camera's model and manufacturer.
Step 4: Configure the FTP Settings
In the FTP settings section, input the following information:
- FTP Server Address: Enter the address of your FTP server.
- FTP User Name: Enter the username for your FTP server.
- FTP Password: Enter the password for your FTP server.
- FTP Port: Enter the port number for your FTP server. The default port is usually 21.
- FTP Path: Enter the path to the folder on your FTP server where you want to store the videos.
Step 5: Test the FTP Settings
Once you have configured the FTP settings, click on the "Test" or "Save" button. The camera will attempt to connect to the FTP server and upload a test file. If the test is successful, you will see a message indicating that the FTP settings have been configured correctly.
Step 6: Enable FTP Recording
Once you have tested the FTP settings, you can enable FTP recording. To do this, navigate to the "Record" or "Motion Detection" settings section of the camera's web interface. Enable the "FTP Recording" option and select the FTP profile that you created in the previous step.
Troubleshooting
If you are having trouble uploading videos to your FTP server, you can try the following troubleshooting tips:
- Make sure that the FTP server is running and that you have the correct FTP settings configured on the camera.
- Check the firewall settings on the FTP server to make sure that the camera is allowed to connect.
- Make sure that the FTP server has enough disk space to store the videos.
