Set Up Monitoring on Mac96

Monitoring your Mac can help you keep track of its performance, identify potential problems, and troubleshoot issues. There are a number of different ways to monitor your Mac, but the most common and easiest method is to use the Activity Monitor application.

To open Activity Monitor, click on the Applications folder in your Dock, then click on the Utilities folder. In the Utilities folder, double-click on the Activity Monitor icon.

The Activity Monitor window will display a list of all the processes that are currently running on your Mac. Each process will have its own entry in the list, and you can click on any entry to view more information about that process.

The Activity Monitor window is divided into four main sections:
CPU: This section shows you how much of your Mac's CPU is being used by each process.
Memory: This section shows you how much of your Mac's memory is being used by each process.
Energy: This section shows you how much energy each process is using.
Disk: This section shows you how much of your Mac's disk space is being used by each process.

You can use the Activity Monitor to monitor the performance of your Mac over time. To do this, click on the "Window" menu in the menu bar, then click on the "Show History" option. The Activity Monitor will then display a graph of the CPU, memory, energy, and disk usage over time.

If you notice that a particular process is using a lot of CPU, memory, energy, or disk space, you can click on the process to view more information about it. You can then decide whether you want to quit the process or not.

In addition to the Activity Monitor, there are a number of other tools that you can use to monitor your Mac. These tools include:
Console: The Console application allows you to view system logs and messages.
Network Utility: The Network Utility application allows you to monitor network traffic.
Disk Utility: The Disk Utility application allows you to monitor disk usage and performance.

These are just a few of the many tools that you can use to monitor your Mac. By using these tools, you can keep track of your Mac's performance, identify potential problems, and troubleshoot issues.
